Beau Val Arabian Horse Stud
Beau Val Arabian Stud is situated 1200 metres above sea level on the outskirts of a small mountain village, Torrington, on the Northern Tablelands between Tenterfield and Glen Innes, New South Wales, Australia. Just 4.5 hours drive from Brisbane and 26 kms of bitumen road off the New England Highway, the country is typically four seasons.
We have a 2600 acre property on granite, hilly to undulating country comprising native and improved pastures with a long history of fertilising and lime application. The property also carries beef cattle. Dogs or motor cycles are not used; our horses do all the stock work.
Beau Val Arabians began in March 2000 and horses have been an important part of our life for the past 30 years, 23 of which have been spent on the present property.
- Our stallion and most of our mares are of Silver Fire Lines.
- The studs main strains are Hamdani Simri and Kehailan Dajani
- Our aim is to breed correct athletic horses of a kind, dependable temperament, with good movement suitable for any discipline.
- Our horses run in paddocks from 20 to 50 acres to develop strong bones and confidence in the natural environment.
- Our foals are always well handled at weaning time to become well-adjusted individuals around humans.
- The young horses are slowly introduced to stock work, once broken-in, as an opening to their careers in performance or endurance.
- The area, where we live and breed our horses, is a haven for endurance training and, hopefully, future competition rides.
